The Creative Business Explorer Toolkit - Review -Part 4
Over the past few weeks I have been working through and reviewing Pete Mosley's online toolkit, The Creative Business Explorer, breaking it down into manageable bite-size chunks, which is definitely the best way to work through it. If you missed the other parts of the review you can read them by clicking on the links below
Module 6 then, let's get cracking. This module gets us thinking about our products and our customers and also it gets us to think about the current market and factors which can influence how well our products will sell, looking at different factors which could change and helping us to 'future-proof' our company. There is a very helpful downloadable table to help us to consider this and jot down thoughts and ideas. Pete even encourages us to do the last part with friends or family and really get some 'big' ideas down on paper. The more the merrier, if you brainstorm an idea with a few people you will be surprised how many ideas you can generate. Expect to spend at least an hour on this.
Module 7: encourages us to review The Creative Wheel and the toolkit uses some very clever self-coaching questions to help us to prioritise and stop feeling so overwhelmed if you end up with a massively huge action plan. There is a great downloadable article about Time Management to help you out here. I found this very useful indeed.
Module 8 helps you to consolidate everything you have covered in the Toolkit and also encourages you to stay on track by consistently recording your achievements, getting into the habit of reviewing and planning and keeping a record of the process. This is a great habit to get into and one which I do, although not in exactly the same way as this. I will definitely consider using this tool though as I think it's really important to record progress. You get such a feeling of achievement looking back over the small baby-steps which in time can lead you on a very long journey. It's great to look back and see how far you have come and very rewarding.
